Prophylaxis

  1. Protective mask/clothing

Isolation/Decon Precautions

  1. Victim (overt attack): Undress, blot Yellow Rain, soap/shower (within 6h); The procedure removes up to 98% of contaminant, preventing cutaneous absorption, necrosis, and death.
  2. Responder: S/C
  3. Environment: 1% Sodium Hypochlorite + 0.1M NaOH
  4. Isolation procedures unwarranted post-decon
  5. Bleach contaminated clothes/waste x 6h. Use 0.5% diluted household bleach for gross or visible contamination.
